In 2019 I decided to take a chance and move in with my partner. Since she is from Gothenburg, Sweden and I’m from London, England, it meant that I had to adjust to a new country with a new language.
I’m happy to stay that we’re still living together and the move was a welcome change to the fast-paced nature of a metropolis.
What I’m Currently Learning
I’ve always been interested with programming but I thought it would be best to focus my attention on learning Swedish first. Now that I don’t need to dedicate as much time to learning Swedish, I thought I could turn my attention to learning the language of computers.
I’ve focused on web development right now and building my own website to practice everything that I’ve learned. It’s going well so far and I’m getting the hang of things. I’ve still got a long way to go!
Books I’m Currently Reading
I’m going back and forth between the following books. I’m not sure if it’s good for my learning, but I thought why not!
- The Pragmatic Programmer – Andrew Hunt
- The Linux Command Line – William Shotts
- How Linux Works – Brian Ward
